Imagine raising your children in a place where poverty, environmental contamination, and the lasting effects of Chernobyl are woven into everyday life. A place where the choices that seem so ordinary to us, like what your child eats, where they play, and whether they have warm clothes for winter, can carry a very different weight.
These children didn’t choose where they were born. They didn’t cause the disaster that changed their homeland. Yet they continue to live with consequences they never asked for.

For us, refuge isn’t just a place. It’s the feeling of being welcomed, the feeling of being safe, and the feeling of knowing that someone, somewhere, cares about you. Through compassion, community, and meaningful experiences, HOPE for Belarus works to give children memories that are bigger than their circumstances.
